2006-05-18 - 10:07 I didn't want to say anything until I knew for sure. This month has been a bit of a whirlwind compared to my normally quiet existence of grading and reading and watching Monk episodes (I love you Tony Shalhoub). An email came across my desk about a fulbright program going to malaysia and singapore, and I at first ignored it. The cost was too much and I had promised Skye I would visit her those days. Even bought the plane tickets. But then the email came across again that they were in need of one more female and the deadline was in two days. And I, my friends, am a female. So we called the right people and got my application in on time. More importantly we called my principle at home to ask the school if they could sponsor me on the trip, which they did. So for the month of July I will be out of country as a part of a fulbright group for "educational tourism." Translate that to a month's long vacation almost completely paid for. And all I have to do is go to lectures and put together a few presentations of what I learned while abroad. I might even be able to meet Brent in Thailand for a few days!
